The Day After 4th of July – Your Independence and Freedom

Ok, yesterday you had a fun celebration on the 4th of July with a few of your friends. You ate, drank, went to a really crowded place to watch the fireworks and were merry or were you? After all the hoorah and partying, showing your support and appreciation for the freedom we have here in the United States of America, how are you feeling about the freedom that you really have in your own life? Are you using the wings of freedom that we have all been so granted? Or are you a caged bird? A frustrated bird, or maybe feeling like one of the Angry Birds?

Angry Birds - Are You Angry?

If so, what is it that's making you feel this way? Not enough money $$$? Not much flex time from the job you have and the work/life balance is way off for you? Perhaps there are relationships that you feel are stifling? Maybe it's a combination of many things that are really adding up and you are feeling the pressure. It seems like you can't spread your wings like you used too, but interestingly enough, nobody is physically holding you back. It's just you, holding yourself back from taking the next step down a new flight path.

It's time to take another serious look at how you are keeping yourself from true independence today. What have you been doing or not doing that is keeping you from spreading your golden wings of confidence and production? Let's take some action to clarify what has been going on and what we need to create. I only want us to do 2 things right now:

  1. Create a sheet of the Actions we have taken, what Results we have gotten from them and last but not least what Profit Potential it has given us if any.
  2. Now create another sheet to write or rewrite your short, medium and long-term goals then attach some action steps to attain them.

Tomorrow morning, first thing, create your To-Do list for the day, beginning with the most seemingly daunting task for the day. Then start knocking them off the list one by one, from the hardest or most time consuming to the easiest or quickest task. This will keep you feeling like the hardest thing is now out of the way and it's all down hill from here. I know it can be a pain in the ass to rewrite your goals and put down everything you do throughout the day, but this strategy has been used by the most successful people out there and by doing this you will clearly see where you are being productive and where you are just burning daylight hours with no results.

Give yourself a 90 day challenge to accomplish something great and find a work out partner to help keep you on track and accountable to taking action. This steadfast diet of trackability and accountability will keep you focused and focus in today's ADHD society has become the hardest thing to maintain.

Stay focused my friends and celebrate Your independence day, everyday, with action steps to attaining all the freedom you will ever need or want.
