Why Travel To Brazil?

Why Travel to Brazil? Below I have listed my top 5 reasons to visit Brazil. Brazil is a massive country of full natural beauty. Endless pristine beaches and lush rainforests are just tip of the iceberg when it comes to the attractions that await visitors. Brazil is also home to fun loving people of great ethnic and cultural diversity, whose heritage is expressed through their colorful art and lively celebrations hosted in their historical cities and bustling urban centers. Here are some of my favorite reasons to visit Brazil.

1. Brazil Beaches

I Love, Love, Love the ocean and tropical beaches, who doesn't right?! Being that I'm a surfer as well, the more than 2,000 beaches that stretch along Brazil's shoreline and more than 1,000 islands that dot the Atlantic coast, this country is a dream place for that alone! While many of them are densely populated, many are preserved ecological sanctuaries.

2. Brazilian Culture

For around 500 hundred years, Brazilian culture has been in the making by people with a very distinct ethnic and cultural heritage. A great mix of contributions has been imprinted in the culture which generated easily recognizable expressions such as Bossa Nova (The Girl From Ipanema), Capoeira (a dance which was really a disguise of fight training amongst the slaves back in the day), and the yellow soccer jersey (Pele), and of course you can't forget the infamous Brazilian Bikini!

3. Brazilian Cuisine

From the shore line seafood offering of Shrimp sauted with olive oil and garlic to the open fire pits tended in the open fields of Rio Grande do Sul by gaúchos (the South American cowboys), to upscale restaurants abroad, barbecue (Churrasco) is one of the biggest trends that have brought international patronage to Brazilian food. Another huge trend abroad reveberated by the Brazilian good times is the all delicious and refreshing Caipirinha. It's a muddle mix of lime, cane suger, cachasa (Brazilian Rum) and a splash of soda shaken with ice. Once you have one on a hot beach day in Rio, you'll just want another, and another, and…you get the picture.

4. Celebrations & Events

Florianopolis, Recife, Olinda and Fortaleza. Haven't heard of these places yet? Well, Yes, they have Carnival too! And because it's a countrywide celebration, up-and-coming cities are gradually drawing more attention as options to leaders Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Bahia.

However, there's much more to the Brazilian calendar. For example, many international travelers have discovered that Reveillon (Brazilian New Year) is as much fun as Carnival. We have a special retreat for this event, New Year's Retreat in Rio de Janeiro!

5. Travel-Friendly Weather

It's not all the time and not everywhere. Most people think that the weather in Brazil is perfect beach weather, year-round, but the country is huge and has it's seasons for the different places you want to go. Weather is definitely a personal issue, yet in Brazil, the right planning can improve your year-round chances of finding the right place where the sky is blue and the temperature invites you to be outdoors. Northeastern coastal cities like Fortaleza have around 300 days of sunshine a year. Fall and winter travel in Brazil is awesome! With spectacular sunrises, white sand and warm ocean water in the middle of your winter will keep you from wanting to go home!

That's my top 5 reasons for why travel to Brazil will be one of the best travel decisions you will ever make!
